Free the Captives is a faith-based, anti-human trafficking non-profit that fights the exploitation and trafficking of Houston’s youth. They engage and mobilize the Christian community while partnering with non-profits, law enforcement, and government agencies in the fight against modern day slavery.
You can read more about the organization here.
I’m privileged to get to have a Jamberry booth at their Annual Christmas Market this year and will donate 15% of my proceeds to Free the Captives.
If you would like to do some Christmas shopping but can’t make it to my booth at the market, you can shop here, and pick “Free the Captives Christmas Market” at checkout and I will add your purchase to my event total and donate 15% of your pre-tax total!
I get to have a booth there, but you can support the cause by shopping online too!
Last Monday I used a second quarter of the sheet of Flourish I had bought. I had cut it down the middle (lengthwise) and used the 5 smallest wraps, you can read about that in this post. So last week I used the 4 remaining wraps of the first half, cutting creatively so I could get 10 nails out of 4 wraps. Here’s the result:

Another thing I have to tell you guys about today is this:
The Mother’s Day gift set is here! It’s called Ruby & Rose, love the name and love everything about it!
Jamberry Mother’s Day gift set
Here’s my latest mani, it’s called Love Spell.
It’s going to last way past Valentine’s Day, AND stand up to all the housework I’m doing between now and then!
The day before Valentine’s Day my husband and I are going to get to go to a gala, it’s a fundraiser for Casa El Buen Samaritano.
I made my first ever Jamberry Silent Auction Basket:

Jamberry came out with a Heart Health Awareness wrap, and they are donating $2 for each sheet that is sold to the American Heart Association. AND it’s gorgeous!
Jamberry cares! $2 per sheet is donated to AHA
Well, tomorrow is the last day to order Jamberry Nail wraps and have them by Christmas. But since we live in Houston where the mail is slow like Christmas itself, I’ve already stopped telling customers they could still order things and have them for sure.
But luckily, Jamberry is having another special that starts tomorrow:

I finally got around to making my Jamberry gift jars this weekend. This is the one for Anna’s teacher, she likes blues and purples:
Jamberry Gift Jar
And here’s a picture of what’s in it:
Contents of Jamberry Gift Jar
* 1/2 sheet of Mad Mod
* orange stick
* coarse file (I got some Revlon ones, 10 for $.94)
* rubber cuticle pusher
* 2 alcohol swabs
* printed application instructions
* my Jamberry business card (not pictured)
I used 12 oz Ball jelly jars and they turned out to be the perfect size.
Hi Friends! No new mani today, the last one is actually holding up REALLY great this time around, I bet I’ll make it a full two weeks!
I do want to tell you all about Jamberry’s Black Friday Special though. It’s this exclusive wrap that they are giving away for FREE when you spend $50.
UPDATE: due to high demand this offer has been extended through Cyber Monday!!
Black Friday Special
It gets added to your cart automatically once the total of the items in your cart gets to $50.
They are also bringing back the Sister’s Style Exclusives from the past 12 months. The Sister Style Exclusive is a nail wrap that is only available for a month and then it’s gone. This special is called Back for Black, and I’m guessing it’s only special to people who are familiar with Jamberry already.
Jamberry makes great Christmas gifts! I really mean this. If you know me in real life, you know that I never used to do anything to my nails until I was give a sheet of Jamberry as a gift. I put them on, they lasted and now I SELL THEM!
So give it a whirl, it’s a great stocking stuffer, teacher gift, and so on. And fits inside the envelope of a Christmas Card!
Actually, Jamberry released some gift sets on November 1st, and they sold out of all three options in less than 24 hours!
Today they started selling the new gift set, called JOYFUL HOLIDAY, and there’s supposed to be unlimited quantities.
Joyful Holiday Gift Set
The Joyful Holiday includes:
– Gifting box
– Holiday greeting card
– Application kit
– Three exclusive holiday wraps: a sparkly one, a tinted one and a solid glossy one
It’s $45.00, so that’s a pretty sweet deal!
This weekend my daughter and I went on a little getaway. Among other things we did our nails in the hotel room and then went to Charming Charlie to take pictures with some nice accessories that would highlight the nails.
Here’s my favorite shot of my Mint Green Chevron Nails, it almost looks Christmassy to me!

Well, I finally did it: I gave my other daughter (16 months old) her first “pedicure”, using scraps of Teal Mini Polka from some leftover sample sheets.
Instead of following the regular application instructions, I just stuck them on and trimmed the edge AND her nails with clippers. Then I activated the adhesive with a warm rice bag.
